A Wi-Fi connection isn't essential for using the mower (including mapping, control, and settings), as it has Bluetooth connectivity and works within a 5-meter range (the recommended range is 3 meters).
In addition, once you've set up a garden map and mowing schedule, the mower will automatically start mowing when it's time to do so, without requiring an internet connection. However, Wi-Fi is required for remote control and firmware updates when the app and mower are not in the same location.
