Power & Performance

Q1. How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?

The Raccoon 2 SE fully charges in just 70 minutes, and runs for up to 150 minutes on a single charge.

Q2. What’s the maximum grass height it can cut?

It handles typical residential lawn heights with ease and works best on grass up to 80mm tall.

Q3. What’s the steepest slope it can manage?

Raccoon 2 SE tackles slopes up to 36% (20°), making it reliable even in uneven or slightly hilly gardens.

Mowing & Mapping

Q4. Does it always mow in straight lines?

Raccoon mows in random patterns for full coverage. However, for flat areas under 80m² (861 sq. ft.), you can activate parallel mowing through the Target Area feature for those perfect straight lines.

Q5. Can it handle multiple lawn zones?

Yes! It can manage up to three separate zones, even if they’re divided by stone paths or driveways.

Q6. Can it store or edit maps?

You can save multiple maps for your lawn, though editing existing maps isn’t supported yet.

Q7. The controls feel sensitive, can I adjust them?

Absolutely. You can fine-tune the manual mapping speed in settings for smoother remote operation.

Cutting Quality

Q8. What kind of blades does it use?

Standard razor-style blades, easily replaceable with a Phillips screwdriver.

Q9. What’s the mowing height range?

Adjustable between 30–80mm, giving you flexibility for different lawn types.

Q10. How does it handle edges?

You have two options:

a.) Cut to Edge Mode: Trims right along fences or flowerbeds.

b.) Ride on Edge Mode: Straddles the boundary for precision trimming.

You can even adjust the edge distance to customize how close it gets.

Safety & Detection

Q11. Does it detect small animals or toys?

Yes. Raccoon 2 SE’s AI vision detects obstacles as small as 10×10cm, including balls, toys, flowerbeds, and pets.

Q12. Is there a bumper for extra safety?

Yes, a physical safety bumper provides an extra layer of protection alongside the AI vision system.

Q13. Does it have a rain sensor?

Yes. Located at the back. During heavy rain, it automatically returns to the charging station for protection.

Smart Features & Connectivity

Q14. Can I connect it to Home Assistant or smart home setups?

Integration is in development. We’re working on native compatibility with Home Assistant for future automation scenarios.

Q15. Can I monitor it remotely?

Yes, the Raccoon App lets you check mowing status, receive alerts, and view notifications if it stops or gets stuck.

Q16. Does it send alerts when stuck?

It immediately sends an App notification so you can respond quickly.

Q17. What languages are supported in the App?

English, German, French, Italian, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Russian.

Q18. Is it waterproof?

Yes, the mower has an IPX6 waterproof rating, so it can be safely rinsed with a hose.

Q19. How loud is it?

Just 56 dB(A), about as quiet as a normal indoor conversation. Perfect for early mornings or peaceful evenings.

Q20. What about the charging base station, is it waterproof too?

The base shares the same high waterproof standard, ensuring safe outdoor operation in all weather.
